Hot air ballooning in Lviv is a bright and unforgettable event for everyone who is fond of aeronautics. A very important, spectacular and culminating part of the flight is the landing, which is carried out by skilled pilots with maximum safety and comfort for all participants and spectators of the aeronautical action.

Usually, before the start of the flight, the pilot plans the approximate location of the possible landing of the balloon, taking into account in particular the direction and speed of the wind, with the help of his previous experience of flying in this area. And when the balloon flight is in progress, the pilot selects a specific location suitable for the landscape and for safety reasons, and informs the hot air balloon selection team, which is in the escort car and visually observes the flight, by radio. After receiving the coordinates of the landing site from the pilot, the team quickly goes there to perform their duties during the landing.

The descent is very simple - the pilot opens the valve at the top of the shell, the air gradually comes out of the dome and the ball slowly descends.

There are no emergency requirements for the landing site. It is important that it is spacious enough for the balloon to land safely and that the descending balloon does not harm the owners of the land and nearby facilities. If the wind is not strong, the balloon can go down to a regular stadium. If the wind is stronger, the pilot is looking for a larger area.

As a rule, pilots try to make a descent near a road suitable for the movement of vehicles, so that an escort car can get there without hindrance. Experienced pilots are able to land the bullet so that passengers feel almost no contact with the ground. The selection team helps to land the ball safely. The process of descent and landing takes from several to several minutes. If the balloon lands in the middle of a large field, the team moves it to a more suitable place, lowers the remaining air in the dome, and packs the balloon.
